Day 175 - February 23rd

The stone has been added to the front of the house!

And the west side of the house has been painted, even though it doesn't look green in this picture.

Stone around the front door.  We need to pick an accent color for the front door.  Any suggestions?

Close up view of the stone:

The cabinets in the master bathroom are stained.  The color is 'Spanish Oak', which is very Espresso in nature.

Current state of the fireplace.  It looks awesome!

Current state of the outside paint.

Day 168 - February 16th

Trim has been added to the top of the cabinets in the kitchen.

Temporary stairs are being replaced with permanent stairs.

The trim downstairs is being painted.  The color is Dove White, semi-gloss finish.

The trim on the ceiling in the master bedroom is complete and ready for painting.

The window in the guest bedroom upstairs has been framed.

The patio doors and windows have also been framed.

The trim along the ceiling in the living room is nearly complete.  Trim work is our builder's specialty.

It has been warm enough this week that they have started on the outside paint.  This is the color we have selected, a forest green with cream colored trim.

Day 167 - February 15th

The fireplace continues to take shape.  I can't wait to see it all finalized and painted!

Day 164 - February 12th

The built-in at the base of the stairs is now painted and looks fabulous!  The trim color is Dove White.

The trim is being painted in the basement.  You'll notice a myriad of paint colors on the wall.  It's been a fun adventure getting the paint to match the 'original' Ashen, as we are calling it.  Enough said!  The trim looks awesome though!

This is the trim in the master bedroom in the ceiling coffer.  We have a little tray up there with an outlet where we can put Christmas lights for ambient light.

The fireplace work has begun!

Built-in shelf added at the base of the stairs.

Basement patio doors have been trimmed.

Painting of the walls has begun.  You can see our 'Ashen' color (a shade of taupe) against the white ceiling.

The back of the kitchen island now has wood panels.

This is the south wall of the kitchen.  We have a butler's pantry and a place to put mail and other things.

Grout has been added to the laundry room floor.

Southwest corner of the kitchen.

Tile has been laid in the master bathroom.  It is a brownish-gray color.
